Used this for the first time today with my new Bissell machine. I am very sensitive to chemicals and have allergies and this product has not caused me any adverse reactions. It smells faintly (reminds me of the smell of hair dye but diluted 100x) but I had no nervous system reaction when using it (those who have MS know what I mean). Also, the carpet and upholstery I cleaned today look fantastic. They are clean and don't smell "fresh" - they don't smell of anything! That is the point! How Bissell evolved to create such a product.
