When juicing pears, apples, etc., this V-Cut blade prepares the fruit gently, safely and easily for loading into a blender or juicer. I had one of these, I lost it, I tried to give it up, but I was spoiled. It makes the habit of eating right a lot easier. I haven't even explored the fancy decorating abilities it offers, but it's a daily staple in my utensil drawer. This and a melon press (for the core of the seeds) make the fruit easier to prepare.
