I have at least six of these picture lights and they are all excellent. The only issue I had was that one of the mounts was packaged in a large box with almost no spacers to keep it stable. As a result, a dent formed on the brass bracket so it was sent back. Now you should attach the lantern as high as possible on the picture frame so that you can bend your arm and observe the picture best. Save your walls. In some paintings, the light at the top of the painting illuminates the frame rather than the painting itself. Simply raise the mount a little higher so you can bend your arm over the painting, even if you are covering part of the frame. A great lamp that can also be a great gift.
