I bought this in a series of purchases for a connector to transfer video from an old JVC iLink camera to my Mac . Answer: Yes, it works on modern Macs with two other very expensive Apple branded ports to switch from FireWire to USBC. In the end, the price got worse, but the videos received from the camera made everything better. Now I have a video of my kids when they were babies. now 20 years later. π₯°π. Preserved for all time.
