If you like to write with a fountain pen, brass seals like this make nice accessories. You can use any pens; I just like fountain pens for extra nostalgia. Wax seals (ie J Herbin) help to add an extra flair to your letters. Our grandchildren like to collect and save our seals. One caveat however, depending on the size of the letter/card you use. The extra weight can cause you to have to use extra postage. I have found this to be true for some of the nice cards. This is well made and the brass seal can be unscrewed and replaced with other similar seals having the proper ‘female’ fitting.
