Review on Hawking Technology Hi-Gain Directional Corner Indoor Antenna with Enhanced 15dBi Signal Boost (HAI15SC) by John Hall

I purchased a Hawking directional antenna for use on a desktop computer that was hidden under a desk and was unable to get an acceptable Wi-Fi signal. Note that this device can be used as both a transmitting and receiving antenna with equally good results. My computer has a PCI Wi-Fi card with small 4" OEM antennas on the back that don't work. I placed the antenna in a corner about 1 foot from the ceiling, which shows the general direction of my Wi-Fi router, which is in another room of the house. Throughput improvements were excellent. My reception speed improved from a mere 4m/s to a stable 17-19m/s. Since the antenna is white, it blends in well and is hardly noticeable. One tip - the included cable is very short - only about 6 feet. I highly recommend that you also use a Hawking cable extension (Hawking RP-SMA TO RJ-SMA (HAC7SS)). I had to go back and order the cable separately after realizing that the cable supplied was too short to run the antenna next to position correctly I checked my bandwidth before and after installing the extension cord and while there should be a slight loss of gain I had almost the same bandwidth due to the improved layout. If you buy this unit you won't be disappointed!
