2018: First two filter changes, no problem. Third, a big problem: the top part that the cylinders screw into is worn out, just plastic where maybe there should be rubber or metal with a rubber gasket. When we try to install cylinder 1 it leaks a lot. I ordered a replacement part for $38 including tax and shipping which seems reasonable but it hasn't shipped for five days as Ecopure only ships by ground. The way our sink is constructed means there won't be any cold water for the next week and a half or more. Ecopure loses two stars. 2015: I had the filter installed in about 10 minutes. The new water flow was clean, a relief from overuse of the built-in fridge, which was wrong from the start. Filter No need for many tools unless (1) you need to drill a hole in the sink for the faucet, (2) you are installing the filter unit on the wall next to or under the sink, or (3) you need the Connect hoses to the piping in the conventional manner. The filter itself comes in one piece and the hoses connect to the filter by simply plugging them in. The faucet, although standard, has a nice design.
