Review on 🀩 Jump into Joy: Skywalker Trampolines Mini Bouncer Enclosure Brings Fun & Safety Together by Russ Montgomery

* with update after the 1st summer. *So happy with this trampoline.

Bought this for my daughter's second birthday. My husband is an ER doctor and there is no way he will let us buy a bigger trampoline because of all the injuries he has seen. But our daughter LOVES jumping. In terms of safety, he agrees with a smaller trampoline. It was difficult and time consuming to assemble but it was worth it. Our daughter likes it very much. She could spend hours in there if we let her. We had a picnic on the 4th of July and the kids aged 1-8 jumped in and enjoyed it too. There was a competition to see which of the children could jump the highest. A child drew his knees up and was able to walk upside down. I like that there is a little skirt at the bottom so the kids can't get under it and jump on it. Very good. I love that it's so light I can easily carry it from my front driveway to my yard - all by myself. I just take the blue bar and throw it over my shoulder. I also like that the elastic is on the outside of the mesh so there's no risk of fingers being pinched. During the picnic, we noticed that the kids sat on the green cover outside the net, waiting for their turn (or sulking when it wasn't their turn and they wanted it). I'm really worried about the kids who put their fingers in bungee cords. But there are no springs - just bungee - so at least there is less risk of injury to the child. I read in a review that bungee feels different than the traditional springs found on other trampolines. Because of this, I was nervous about buying this trampoline. However, we did not notice a difference. And more importantly, our two year old is happy with it. Now some things we don't like. He moves. If we have it in our driveway or patio, it will move when our daughter jumps in. So if it's on the patio by the stairs, it's not safe. It is important to zip up the entrance when your child enters. If the zipper is not closed, the child can very easily fall through the hole in the entrance. It's a two-way zip so our daughter can unzip it while she's there. If she unzips it to leave and then decides to stay and jump, that's a safety issue. look. I also read some reviews that said the padding is thin. It is true. It's very thin and I wonder how it will hold up for multiple seasons if we leave it outside. Because it's wider than the doorway, we can't move it inside out. I was hoping we could remove the net frame so we could slide it in quickly when it rained. It is not so easy. We can take it below deck or in the garage for the winter - it would take a lot of time and would have to be disassembled. UPDATE On 08/18/16 we got some months use of it. We left it outside during the fall, winter and fall because you have to take it apart to get it in, which is really difficult. I took photos but mostly the trampoline net and safety bar fell apart. What started as a small tear in the net we received in the first few days turned into a complete tear rendering the trampoline unusable. The protective bar also fell apart. I assume it's because the kids hold on to it to jump around. The metal protective bracket came off by itself and the styrofoam protective cover came off. I upload pictures of everything for you to see. It started out as a 5 star trampoline and I'm upgrading it to 2 stars because it didn't last more than one season.
