2 year update: Well, winter is here and we temporarily live in a poorly insulated 600 square meter house. Feet, literally on the lake. When the wind blows, the papers rattle on my desk. We pulled out this little fireplace and set it on a low fire. It doesn't fight the wind, but when the wind dies down we're comfortable even with 20 degrees outside on low settings. I'm amazed ORIGINAL REVIEW: I cannot rate this machine highly enough. It's cute and effective. I feel safe with pets around. Red is just fun. We have a 12 x 14 foot cave that heats up to sauna temperature in about 30 minutes. We usually turn it on for about an hour and then turn off the heat and leave the lights on for atmosphere. We have had a larger electric fireplace in the past and this seems to be much more efficient. Since our hiding place is small, it is in front of the door of a once-used closet. I put felt on the legs so we can move it around easily for easy access to the door. It is lightweight and can be easily moved to another location in the house. Please pay attention to the height. If you are looking for a "decorative fireplace" for your room, you may be disappointed. However, if you are looking for a cute heat dispenser in a small space, you will be happy to find such a perfect combination of ambience, attractiveness and efficiency.
