My husband and I recently went on a road trip where we stayed in different hotels every night for a week. The barrel shape makes it very easy to look down and see exactly what you need without emptying all of the contents. It has a waterproof coating, so if something spills inside, it's very easy to wipe it up. I'm only deducting one star because of the pockets. One side has elastic straps for storing large items (like cleaning supplies) and the other side has smaller mesh pockets for storing smaller items (like dental floss). I have only used the bag once and some of the elastics have already stretched.
