Purchased at a significant savings. The Marshals were initially highly controversial headphones for me, and opinions about them divide people into two camps: some reviewers say that they are unpleasant "high-cut" ears with subpar sound, while others praise them again for the same sound and appearance. The following are some of my thoughts: Although I did not utilize the earlier versions of marshals, I can say that these ones are quite user-friendly in terms of convenience. The headphones are comfortable enough for me to use them for extended periods of time; after wearing them for this length of time, I do not experience any discernible physical discomfort. Also liked the way it sounded. Even though I'm not an expert on the subject, I think they sound really well and have a great smooth bass. The minimalistic approach taken in the design of the 4 is much more appealing to me. The most amazing part, however, is that after making the transaction, I did not make a single charge for an entire month. Autonomy is a wonderful thing. Although I wouldn't purchase them if they were offered to me at full price, I might consider doing so if they were on sale.
