At least it saved me from a head injury. I was going down a mountain on an electric skateboard when the brakes failed. When I realized what was going on, I drove too fast and tried to run away. I managed about 3 or 4 steps before going down. Difficult. I stretched out my arms to ease the roll, rolled and bobbed my head three times on the sidewalk. Right side (and broke his collarbone on the first hit), back, left side. I ended up with a broken left thumb, a VERY broken right collarbone, road rashes on both shoulders and both hips, and NO head or brain injuries. . The helmet skin also has severe road rashes from all 3 hits. I'm sure this helmet saved me from TBI and possibly saved my life. WEAR THE FUCKING HELMET, GUYS! This one looks pretty slick, not goofy like a bike helmet, and the value of not having a TBI is worth the sweaty head. Better sweaty than bloody. Go to Youtube and search "Session Fail: The Rise and Risk of Electric Skateboards" and "Moth Presents Stephanie Perirolo: Walking with RJ" for a dose of realism about what TBI recovery is all about. WEAR A HELMET! Wear pads too! My elbows and knees were fine because I wore pads. I've also had "slip gloves" on my hands but they aren't designed to hit the ground hard so I ended up with a broken thumb BUT there is no road rash on my hands and fingers.
