I am a menopausal woman with hot flashes. It's the perfect little fan to wear around your neck to keep you cool in those moments. However, keep long hair away. It can get tangled in the fan if you're not careful...ask me how I know. I found the battery life to be great, it did a great job of illuminating and cooling me down during the 5k at night. Definitely handy for those hot moments when I don't have to cool everyone else.
