I'm not a fan of "automatic" wallets. Simple and clear. No need for leverage. And the tactical/thin wallet kinda defeated the goal of having cash and cards, not just one or the other. But I don't like carrying too many things in my wallet and when I lost a very basic 3 card wallet my money was heartbreaking. It was a chore to always look for something that would match the old nylon and 1 button wallet I lost years ago. The other "wallet" I used after the previous one was lost was actually a wallet ID insert. Almost the same design as this one but one side is free for 1 ID card plus on a thinner card (insurance) and the other side is for 2 smaller/thin cards. But I just couldn't keep anything else (so no cash and emergency money). Then I came across a few tactical styles that I thought would work better. Many of them had some oddities, but I managed to pull away from them. until it ended up here in my search. I started narrowing down the list and bit the bullet based on very 2 very specific points. - Location of cards and cash. As I mentioned before, I don't have too many cards with me, but being able to have them was a must. One side of this wallet holds 3 essentials (driver's license, debit card and insurance). On the other side the business card (2-5) and everything I need (a punch card for a guitar. 4 per card. 3 cards) Maybe not necessary but for me they are a life saver. The best surprise was the external till door itself. I have a fixed amount on one side and large emergency bills on the other. I could never be too sure than sorry, so it became very, very, very necessary. It's literally everything I need for each day. Slim With everything I listed above, the wallet was still thin for my front pant pocket. It's a bit bigger than my old wallet but that makes everything thinner compared to my old wallet and it's a pseudo replacement design. Better than a wallet and way better than a triple (remember those shark skin triple folds of the late 80's/early 90's?) Another nice feature of this wallet is the RFID blocking. I wasn't looking for the need but it's nice to know I have it. Also, it's good to know there's room for a tracker (Tile Slim or Innway) if I decide to go that route as well. Probably not necessary, but then again it's nice to know I can have it when I want (which made the decision to buy this one easy), unlike other wallets that didn't fit into this category. "Fits what I need, but this one looked and more importantly fit and felt exactly how I've wanted a small but roomy wallet for years. Couldn't be more excited and happier that some exceeded my needs and covered every need from an old wallet I fondly remember (but not anymore because this one is so much better).
