Before that there were S3, S6, S7 - I compare with them: The overall speed of work has increased, especially the installation of applications. The camera became clearer, but all the old sores remained (when shooting at 60 fps and in poor lighting, ripples, pixels, flicker, etc.). The Pro mode at the camera was severely cut - now you canโt shoot video in it (this is a fat minus, I used it on S7 in the dark, the Apple people were jealous). When encoding video in NVENC, there are lags on the video during sudden movements. The screen is cool, but there are distortions at the edges from the bend, this is not critical, but the maximum brightness is terrible - you can't see it well in the sun. The speaker became louder and more voluminous in sound, but the sound in the headphones was killed (flat, without bass, the equalizer does not give the desired sound even from a part, it was still tolerable on the S7, sometimes I listened to music). The finger scanner takes some getting used to, and it's still uncomfortable. I liked turning on the screen by pressing hard on the screen near the Home button: at home, with Smart Lock turned on, you just press the screen and lo and behold! Here is a cool thing. The 18.5x9 format does not interfere, sometimes itโs even more convenient to watch YouTube in zoom without stripes, I set the buttons on the bottom panel to swipe - I won a little space on the screen. The battery holds well, I personally have enough for a day calmly. BUT! The new S7 lasted longer! Guys, don't even argue, it's a fact. In general, the feeling is blurry: somehow not happy, a little disappointed. If they didnโt touch the sacred - the camera and sound - there was no price for the phone. And so you have to suffer when listening to music and recording videos. In the rest, smart is suitable, I repeat, itโs enough for a day calmly. It is convenient and pleasant to use. After the ates, he became much smarter in using the battery and resources, directly noticeable after the S7. I liked how applications now switch - this is a fairy tale. In a year I'll take S9, I'll see how things are going with the sound. And the most important rule of the Galaxy: you tried it once, then you definitely wonโt get off. PS I switched from an iPhone, I'm sitting on a Galaxy, as it is the best camera phone. Or maybe it was.
