Review on 🪟 Navy Blue Thermal Insulated Grommet Blackout Window Curtain Panels - 52"x84" with 2 Tie Backs by MIUCO by Brent Saake

Hello, darkness, my old friend.

I purchased one of the beautiful Aubergine sets to try above our sliding glass doors. This is a gorgeous color that reminds me of a nice merlot, which is perfect as I’m renovating my home with a wine theme and color palette - which happened somewhat subconsciously, but that’s another story and my therapy session isn’t for another week.As you can see, I’ve included a side by side comparison photo. On the left we have my previous "blackout” curtains which I would describe as a medium, dovetail gray and are from the Eclipse Signature collection. I spent a pretty penny just for each panel. It helped quite a bit but it’s obviously still letting a good deal of light and heat inside. On the right is one of the Aubergine panels. I immediately noticed an enormous difference in the room with just one panel. Before I finished putting up the second panel, I knew I was going to buy curtains for the rest of my house and not bother to tell my husband because he couldn’t possibly talk me out of this purchase. This one pair has been up for five minutes, and my open concept living & dining area feels 10 degrees cooler.Additional information - I live in North Carolina where even though it’s october, it’s 90 degrees. Also, these doors get the most sun of all my house, which is why I tried the curtains on them first. The doors face the Southeast. I look forward to seeing the difference in my next energy bill, and also to adorning the rest of our home in these curtains, and knowing that the company I’m supporting will donate each month to the charity and cause that is most dear to my heart.
