Bought this for my daughter for classical conversation class because we are on campus where this year our room has sofas but no tables. This desk has a very nice large writing surface, a cup/water bottle recess about 2 inches deep, a phone pocket, space for a tablet or pen, and a small drawer. The drawer can be the weakest part of the table. Design as I'm not sure if it's strong enough to hold up. This drawer question doesn't really matter because it can use a pencil case. She loves it so much that she decided to use an OLD kneeler in class and let her do her work at home, it's her new favorite activity! The legs appear to be sturdy curved tubes with a non-slip covering. I will update my review if anything changes, but we are currently very happy with this purchase!
