I bought this specifically for the basket behind the screen. As a user of prescription glasses, I prefer my glasses and sunglasses to be easily accessible without having to dig around and try to open the case while I'm driving. I also don't like things that stand out or don't match the aesthetics of the car. It fits quietly and functionally. There are also versions of this type of mount that charge your phone. I purposely didn't want this option, but I found the phone mount more useful than I imagined. I would rank this as one of the best aftermarket purchases I've made for my Model Y.
