This shirt is really cute. The color is as shown and the material is soft. The only reason he gets a 4 and not a 5 is because he's very small. I ordered a size plus for my daughter who normally wears a size plus from the Target Cat and Jack brand. She was very tight. It was so tight I could see her navel through her shirt. It was quite long (almost covering her ass) but it was so tight around her torso. It would be possible to return but decided to try and stretch. Luckily it fit her pretty well after getting wet, stretched and then air dried (didn't want to tumble dry). I would definitely order a size or two bigger. One more thing - the label was very hard and prickly. I just cut it out of my shirt but still. I know how tagged kids can be.
