I bought this to replace my previous CAC reader for my MacBook Pro which was not USB-C and therefore required a dongle. I was happy when I received it for the first time. It worked initially, but Mac OSX Catalina didn't recognize it about 90% of the time. Rebooting multiple times finds the device often, but I've reverted to my previous dongle reader. Technical support does not help. The device seems to work well with Windows, so if you have a Windows PC and USBC it might be a good buy, but if you have a Mac I'd say don't waste your time on this.
