First of all I would like to say that this jacket is very soft and will keep my child warm in those cold November days. Second, the zip and hood are really good and the hood stays on with no effort. My only complaint is that this jacket runs small. My 6 month old is 18 pounds and 27 inches long so I got the 12 month size hoping it will fit him before the end of winter. This jacket will probably not last 2 months. It's a lot smaller than all the other 12 month old clothes I've given him (which is actually so big he has to wait to put it on). So if you buy this jacket maybe take 2 sizes,
