I like this cat scratching post because it looks very nice on the wall. They harmonize with the decorations that you may have on your wall. Unfortunately I can't get my cats to scratch it yet, but I'm working on it. I believe that in time they will understand what it is for. The only thing that could be better and cat scratch better would be if the felt pad on top was thicker. I believe the pillow is only about 1/4 inch thick. In my opinion it should be at least 1/2 inch. This is a cute scratching post for cats. i really like it
