I bought these to keep my cords/plugs away from my cat. It has three major design flaws. 1) They should be about 1-2 inches taller. Not all connections are created equal. Rectangular box end caps are difficult to fit into these containers. Because of this, the lids do not fit neatly. You can see it in the picture. 2) Lids should have a deeper seat so they sit more securely in the box. These lids pop out at the slightest movement. It would be nice to add a secure clasp. 3) These boxes must be slotted on all four sides. For some reason it only has slits on three sides.
