Sturdy enough, compact enough to hold the Galaxy Tab A securely and the keyboard is far superior to the screen version. However, in order for the tab to stand and rest on the keyboard, the latter must be positioned so that when the case is closed, the keyboard must be removed from the magnet and repositioned. It seems like a small thing, but annoying.
