These screen protectors are absolute crap. They are so thin and flimsy that they easily bend during shipping and arrive damaged. The pieces don't stick together very well and I was afraid of breaking them every time I installed them. Still, it helps keep the litter in the cage better, but not by much. My rats easily slipped a bedding under the guard which overflowed and fell on the floor. I ended up buying a large cement mixing tub from Lowe, trimming the edges and putting it in the cage instead. It works 110% better and cleans faster. If you use these dirt guards, forget it. If you're just trying to take stray poo to the next vacuum/cage day it might be a better idea to buy one but I wouldn't do it given the price, they make the list.
