Fresco Logic chipset - Works with Server 2012 (Inateck KT4006)

RE: Inateck KT4006. This card uses the Fresco Logic FL1100SX chipset. This is one of the latest USB 3.0 chipsets and is very reliable. My USB bus-powered external hard drive booted with no problems. Drivers are built into Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 (as well as Windows PE 5.0). However, the Fresco Logic website supports newer drivers. I've tested these newer drivers with Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 with no issues. If you have Server 2012 and need a USB 3.0 card to power your USB 3.0 portable hard drive drivers for backup purposes, this is your baby. I tried 4 other cards and encountered various problems with Server 2012. KT4006 worked fine (Dell PowerEdge T320 with Server 2012 R2). I had to use a longer USB 3.0 cable and had issues with one brand of cable. If you need a longer cable and are having trouble, try a different brand of USB 3.0 cable and stick with 3 feet. off and very fast and reliable. Inateck 3.0 PCI-E expansion cards in RED use Fresco chipsets such as Inateck KTU3FR-4P and KTU3FR-5O2I. You are on Raven. Drivers are built into Windows 8 and later. You can also download updated drivers from the Fresco Logic website in the support area (not required for Windows 8 or later). You can find the necessary drivers for Windows XP or Windows 7 on the Inateck website.
