The weight was more than 38 lb I would say it was closer to 50 lb and this based on moving another 50 lb package to yesterday.Had I seen this in person at the store I would not have had purchased it for $100 - but considering the weight of the object and the idea of trying to put it back in the box and getting it returned to ebay - I have elected to use it .Fortunately I still had a moving pad from U-Haul which I laid down over the top of it to avoid the turpins from getting into the mattress which would also be another Con on the list it is green ( hasn't been properly kiln dried) enough to stain the bedding and mattress.
