After my previous thin corn holders broke I decided I needed stronger holders. I was disappointed in them because they are really difficult to put directly into the corn cobs. They were all crooked and the corn was difficult to butter evenly and difficult to hold. I didn't have much trouble sticking the old holders into the corn. While it's a good thing that they snap together so they don't bump you when you're rummaging around in the drawer for them, the downside is that they can be difficult to pull apart, and if kids were pulling on them I was concerned they would would suddenly bounce off each other and caught their eye.
