Damage: - Right out of the box, the top right and bottom left corners were crumpled. (Photos attached.) The tablet had been in use for 7 weeks and was marked unavailable on Revain at that point so I decided not to return it. Hasn't caused any problems yet but is annoying with a brand new item. Shipping/Tracking: - It was almost impossible to track the order. Revain gave no further details, except that it was "shipped" and other tracking sites were often days or weeks behind with updates. These updates included the city name but not the state, and of course it always updated in the city with the regular name. (I understand these slow updates may be due to COVID-19, so I really don't hold a grudge against it.) - I ordered the tablet on April 28th and it arrived on June 16th. Estimated delivery window was May 28th to June 23rd, so it was on time. (I live in Arkansas, USA, and chose standard shipping. Again, we're in a pandemic, so I didn't expect it to arrive sooner.) Technical Issues: - While setup was easy, it stayed handle sometimes stand. work with my computer until I restart my computer. (I'm using a 2019 MacBook Air and a 2017 iMac, both the newest in everything.) - Even after several attempts to calibrate the stylus, the touch point seems slightly off. - When using Photoshop CC version 21.2 (current at the time of release), the brush tool sometimes lags - usually when I'm quickly making a few strokes. It doesn't happen too often, maybe once or twice a day, but setting anti-aliasing to 0% and tweaking advanced GPU options doesn't help. Both of my computers can do some pretty heavy design work, so it's annoying. The screen is very dark but this is a small issue for me as I use my computer for color grading. I expected it to be dark, just not as dark as it is. - The buttons on the side of the screen sometimes get stuck! This was the most annoying problem and usually occurs with the button closest to the bottom of the screen. I found out on Reddit that this can be fixed by pressing and holding this button for at least 3 seconds, but it's very disruptive to my workflow. When the button is sticky my color balance window usually opens and doesn't close! - Not exactly a technical issue, but searching for "Full Feature Type-C Cable" was very confusing! I ended up ordering a Nekteck USB-C to USB-C 3.1 Gen2 cable because it was only $9. It *works*, but the port on the Huion tablet is very narrow! I had to shave the rubber sides of the cable to get it to fit. (If you buy a similar cable, look for a very thin one! In my opinion, you don't need to spend more than $40 for a Huion cable.) Purchasing such a cable is a must because it is a 3 -in-1 HDMI cable is a clunky nightmare. Conclusion: - This is my first drawing tablet and after a month of use I have the general impression that everything is fine with it. I like its size and weight because it's small enough to fit in my laptop bag but big enough for a realistic drawing area. I believe if you are new to digital illustration and on a tight budget this is for you. It's just not as good as I expected based on the reviews, but not bad enough to bear the hassle of returning.
