Buying XL cartridges is much more profitable than buying regular sized cartridges, and buying a cheap one package is an even better deal. Having only had HP printers from 1997 to May 2016 when I first bought Canon, I can say Canon ink is far superior to HP ink! My husband and I were shocked to discover that you can touch (or even rub) ink on a freshly printed document without smearing at all. This has never happened with HP printers and inks (and that includes draft quality prints and my HP printer which takes extra time to dry before leaving the printer). Even when using HP inks, the slightest bit of moisture on the paper would cause the ink to bleed instantly. Not so with Canon. Photos are bright and almost professional.
