Lots of pros but hurts my ears

I was arguing between them and the Bose Soundsport headphones. I tried Jaybirds for about 3 weeks before finally deciding to switch to Bose. The Bose is around ยฃ30 more and the sound is admittedly slightly better (although I'm not an audiophile and I find both excellent in that regard) but comfort wins which is why they're coming back. Jaybird BENEFITS: - 6 different headphone options, 3 fin options. It takes some work to find the best fit, but there are many options. Foam ear tips are great for blocking out ambient noise. Turns the roar of airplane engines into a soft murmur with music on or off. I love the ability to block out noise! Love the cord clips in the back so you can cut the cord to any length you like behind your head. They don't fall out at all. I do CrossFit and although they take a minute to fit perfectly in my ears, they don't fall out no matter how crazy the workout gets. The sound is great out of the box. I never bothered to tweak the settings through the Jaybird app but found the sound to be good. There was one podcast that sounded very tinny and low, which isn't usually the case, but otherwise good. CONS: Rubber fins hurt my ears. No matter how much you adjust, there is a pressure point at the bottom of the ear hole from the fin. It's not a super flexible material. After all, that's why I'm sending them back. I can't listen for more than 20 minutes without building a pressure point. After 45 min. I have severe earache and headache. If you remove the fins, the headphones won't stay in your ears. The Bose fins are made of much softer and more flexible rubber and only go up into the ear crease, not down, so they don't create any pressure points. Ears come in all shapes and sizes so I'm sure a lot of people will be totally happy with the Jabyird fins, but I can't stand the discomfort as I like the other features.
