To be honest I love this jacket and would buy it again. . I have broad shoulders and lift weights regularly. I ordered this jacket in a large size and it fit well although it was a bit tight. When it comes to armored riding jackets, it's best to be slightly form-fitting. This helps keep the armor in the correct position while driving. Also, a jacket that is too loose creates more wind resistance, which makes riding more tiring. The jacket has adjustable sleeves, cuffs and bottom hem. With these adjustments, I was able to comfortably fit it to my body. Armor: Armor pieces are strong yet flexible. The description on this listing mentions that they offer "CE approved level 2 armor on the impact points: elbows, shoulders and chest". It should be noted that my jacket did not have a bib. The rear armor is described as soft rubber padding. Like the other parts, I found this to be firm yet flexible. I tried removing and replacing all armor pieces. The hardest part is removing and replacing the elbow pads and backrest. Other than that, I like it because it helps keep the armor pieces in the right position. You don't want them to fit in loose pockets. Riding: I wore this while riding at night when it was around 75 degrees Fahrenheit (24 degrees Celsius). It was pretty cool when I was driving and warm when I was standing. The mesh design will definitely keep you cooler than waterproof jackets. However, I think I would break a sweat wearing this in the mid 80s Fahrenheit and over the heat in the sun. I think as long as you're on the road it stays cool enough. It is your personal choice whether you ride with protection and sweat a little or ride without protection and risk serious injury in the event of an accident. Other notes: The zipper is on the left side of the jacket. It will take me some time to get used to this flash. I did a little research on the internet and found that in the USA men's jackets usually have a right-hand zipper and women's jackets have a left-hand zipper. In European countries, the position of the zipper depends on the manufacturer. Sold as a men's jacket. The material and stitching seem durable. Time will tell how it holds up. If anything notable comes up with my use, I'll update this review.
