I really like these mixes after a lot of learning. Before buying I didn't know it was a dye based ink but that's ok. This makes them more difficult to use as typical watercolor markers, which is what I was initially hoping for. I don't do statistics because I didn't do any research. I like that I can transfer a darker pencil to a lighter one and create a blend. I learned that you can easily create smooth gradients by either dipping a pen in water or putting some water on paper. I didn't have a leak. I didn't have any dry markers, but some were drier to begin with. After applying to paper, the pen was refilled with ink. The case they come in works adequately, but I'd definitely recommend a marker or pencil case (the ones with three-pen straps work well for two markers).
