I still had 2 years (battery without grind adjustment) and was never really satisfied. When one of them broke after falling, I wanted a set with an adjustable grind and the ability to work with different sizes of salt and pepper. So far this works great. For the salt I used a medium sized salt (which has never worked in any other grinder) with a small amount of salt that I ground in a food processor - and surprisingly it works great - some came out more than I expected, but it is likely there was already ground salt. So I use this pink Himalayan salt before using the store bought coarse salt. You have to reset the grind button at the top every time you use it, but that's not really a problem as I'll still check it every time I use it. And the peppercorns are great. So I remain a fan of freshly ground pepper and salt.
