I originally bought it just for the IR receiver so I could program the universal remote to control my HTPC. That does not work. IR specifications are not compatible. I decided to use it alone. You can tell this is a quality product: * The build quality is excellent and I love the serious click feel of the buttons. * The mouse works very well. It's very accurate and responsive, and I'm comfortable using it for point-and-click actions. It's way better than other remotes I've used so far. * The keyboard is just the right size and very responsive. In combination with a mouse I actually used it to edit some configuration files as a last resort. * Pleasantly surprised that it has backlit keys and they work. * Overall, it looks like they put a lot of effort into this remote. A lot of thought has been put into how to make this remote control as functional as possible. They've refrained from adding fancy features that don't improve usability, and I appreciate that. A few cons: * Missing a few key buttons on the remote side (stop and exit buttons for Kodi) * The light feature uses gravity to determine which side should light up. In practice, in bed, it actually doesn't work that well. Maybe just light up both sides?* It's difficult to program and only has a few buttons that can be programmed.
