Great markers are good for detail and effects!

I've had these markers for a day and a half now and I LOVE them! I used to really like watercolors but it was quite difficult to set everything up (pans, palette and a cup of water), these markers make things so convenient! I love the variety of lines I can achieve with these markers and the consistent flow of ink. Some people complain that these markers are too dry and not succulent enough, but personally I like the effect I get with a dry brush. I also love the variety of colors; I never had pink and purple flowers in my old dinnerware set! The tips of the brushes are also very good and easily return to their original position when the bristles straighten. These markers have such a premium feel and weight when you hold them in your hands. The ink spreads easily, but for more even coverage I would recommend either lightly inking the entire area and then mixing with water, or mixing the ink on a palette, glass bowl, tile, etc. and then picking up the ink with a brush . For my work I currently use the Pentel Aquash (?) brush in superfine (one of those brushes with a built in reservoir) and it works great for me! I'll say that if you're looking for control and fine line drawing and you're a beginner, you probably won't find it easy to use. The tips are very soft and these markers require a steady hand to get consistently fine lines. I would recommend these for those experienced in watercolor painting, but I think they can be just as fun for a beginner provided the focus isn't on drawing thin lines! Overall I love these markers and can't wait to experiment with them more. ! I've included some photos of some of the artwork I've made with them so far. (By the way, my Instagram is @opalaque in case anyone wants to try me out!)
