I wasn't sure what to expect as I received several others which I knew would not work properly. I love it! I have large silicone ice molds with silicone lids, but they are much larger (maybe 2x2), only 6 cubes per tray. These little ones fit in thinner glasses and a small smoothie blender, so they're good for that. The top is a harder plastic, but I've had no issues washing in the top tray on the dish rack or washing by hand. You have to thaw a bit before taking it out, but in FL it only takes a minute, even in the winter. . If you live in a colder climate, run under lukewarm water and drain it out fairly quickly. Cloudy Cubes I don't know what to recommend. The point for me is that the drink stays cold no matter what they look like. ! They go in a drink or blender. I will buy more. In fact, I like them better than the big cubes I've used. I don't keep an ice maker in my fridge because I used to have problems if I wasn't using it constantly, things would pile up and get stuck in blocks all day, or the line would get stuck and it would start to get annoying. So last time I skipped the ice cream maker.
