I don't think I looked closely enough at the photo but the letters are intentionally stylized for the missing pieces of felt and when it arrived I seriously was fears that the jacket is defective. This looks like a defect though, it doesn't look like it was on purpose. Also, the jacket is warm, fits well, washes well, so I don't have many complaints. The color didn't even spread, and I was afraid it would (I used paint traps when washing). I usually like this brand because the clothes are usually well made and the material is not cheap. This jacket is no exception and it's the quality of the finish
