Bought because it was cheaper than the cost of OEM VW parts and cheaper than what I've found elsewhere. It was also delivered quicker and I needed it quick because my fan motor died in the winter so there was no heat in the car. I received and installed it at the end of January. On July 10, 2021, the fan started making a terrible whine. I thought maybe something got into the motor's fan chamber through the vent. I disassembled the system and took out the fan motor and nothing was stuck in the system. Fan turned on and the howling continues. It's an annoying high-pitched squeak that's very distracting when driving. It is strange that the warranty is 1 year and expires after a year.
