The best USB microphone ever! Okay, sounds like repetition. But it is true. While podcasting would be fun, one overlooked use is dictation. I use Dragon on my Mac. I've spent over $1,000 on mics from Samson, Phillips SpeechMike, Plantronics and more with no success. NONE of them are consistent. I found the overall quality of the mic to be pretty poor, as did the noise cancellation. They tend to be poorly directed and have large shifts in frequency response depending on how off-axis you are. This drastically affects speech recognition, even if it's off-axis by just a few degrees. On the other hand, Yeti is a very high-fidelity microphone, it has adjustable directivity and maintains balance even with significant off-axis. I put it on my desk and I can dictate with the best precision and accuracy I've ever experienced with Dragon. The dragon is really useful now. And it looks cool on my desk!
