Brewing tea or coffee (or preparing boiled eggs) is an estimate anyway, so a few seconds won't make a noticeable difference in the result anyway. If you need more precision, get a digital timer! My tests: * 3 minute glass + - about 2 seconds * 4 minute glass about the same * 5 minute glass about 10 seconds longer I'm happy with it for its intended purpose. Your mileage may vary.
