I've been using this cover for a year now and overall I like it. So the winch definitely stays dry even in heavy rain. Keeping the winds out of constant moisture will make it last longer, which is good. Synthetic winch rope also lasts longer because the coating minimizes UV damage. Another positive. However, it turned gray and started to get ugly. I'm speculating that UV protection spray does literally nothing, but I can't prove it. Of course the rest of my jeep is scratched and dented so it fits perfectly. That being said, buying a new one every year or so to keep the winch and cable doesn't seem too bad to me.
