Problems with regular flash drives: 1) You can't send them first class mail. Due to their thickness, they are boxed and cost around $3.78 just for shipping. 2) There is no space to write on the flash drive. This card solves both problems - thin enough to fit in a #10 envelope and plenty of room on the front and back to write, label or stick lots of information. Exactly what I was looking for. They only pay for themselves through the postage savings.
