I bought this keyboard to use with my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I'm one of those weirdos who still mourn the loss of the slide-out QWERTY keyboards on smartphones, and I use my phone to send email. There's quite a lot of mail at work, so this was definitely necessary. I'm a bit obsessed with keyboards (I love clicky mechanical keyboards and have a Unicomp Model M clone as my daily driver at home). I type at 92 wpm touch typing so having a real keyboard is very important to me as I hate typing on glass. I've had this keyboard for about a week now and it works better than many other Bluetooth keyboards I've tried in the past. Many of them will skip characters or type characters multiple times if you just press them once, but this one doesn't. Another problem that's common with Bluetooth keyboards, but not this one, is that many of them have some keys (like Shift or Backspace) that are oddly shaped and sized, which isn't very nice on touch typing. There were no surprises with this keyboard, the layout is standard and I was able to find every key without much learning. I love that it comes with a stand, the stand is worth more than its weight in gold. It holds the phone at the perfect angle and the rubber feet on the bottom work really well to keep it from sliding. The keyboard also arrived fully charged so I could get started right away, I didn't have to charge it for long before I could use it. It paired easily with both my Surface Pro 3 (Windows device) and Galaxy Note 8 (Android). I'm sure the folks at Apple would have gotten the same results, although I can't speak from personal experience. I was hoping to buy the Waytools Textblade, but since these things were due for release in 2015 and they weren't actually in production yet, I was very hopeful and had to look for an alternative. I'm glad I found this one! Just fold it out to turn it on, fold it up to turn it off, so there's no power button. I've been typing on it like crazy for a week now and it still hasn't had to charge! If I had to decide what to complain about, I would say they only give you a USB charging cable. The USB cable is very short (about 15 inches long) and I'd rather have something that plugs into the wall. I can use a cell phone charger if needed, but I haven't had to charge it yet. It would also be nice to have a light on for Caps Lock. When editing documents, I use delete and redo in the same way. On this keyboard it's the same key, you need to hold down the function key and press enter to get "Delete". It's a minor annoyance, but I can learn to live with it. Another thing to note is that the keyboard isn't closable, there's a magnet that keeps it snugly closed when not in use, but if you need something more durable this might not be the keyboard for you . Another thing to note is that the keys are not backlit. As a blind machinist, I don't care, but it would be difficult for people with this keyboard to hunt and peck in a dark room. The last thing that bothers me about the keyboard is that it can't remember more than 1 device at a time. So if you change devices, you'll have to re-pair them each time. I switch between Galaxy Note 8 and Surface Pro 3 a lot, so it's a bit annoying, but it's easy. There's a lot more good than bad here. I would suggest trying it out, it works better than many of the other options available and the price isn't on the wallet!
