Absolutely amazing Yakiniku burner for Iwatani grills. I have an Iwatani Tatsujin Slim and the ring under that plate has intentions that match Tatsujin Slim. A better grip will come in handy with use (and everyone takes delicious food off their plates). The ring portion holds a medium-sized cup of water to create steam when cooking meat, seafood, vegetables, or anything else you need to sear on your dinner table. I was able to find Korean bulgogi (thinly sliced beef with sauce and onions) at Costco and fried it to perfection very quickly (I live in Honolulu). The handle-like accessory is actually not a panhandle, as I first thought when looking at the picture, but a tool to remove the stovetop for cleaning. Simply insert two prongs into one of the slots and carry it straight to the sink. Cleaning was easier than expected as I was expecting the sauce to stick to the surface or mess up the finish, but it cleans up easily and neatly with a dish brush and dish soap. I'm not sure how long this ability will last (I don't think it was designed to burn sauces on the surface, but we live in Hawaii and that's what we're doing here), but so far it's working flawlessly. My family loved the indoor grilling this Iwatani grill brought to our family dinners and we plan on using it again soon.
