This is a very nice footstool. It's attractive and well done. The fabric is short velor, the color is the same as the photo on the web. Medium light beige/brown. Cat hair sometimes sticks to the fabric but is immediately removed with a vacuum cleaner. Although this stool looks great in my living room, I only gave it 4 stars for the following reasons: 1. The bumpers that prevent the panel from sliding off the base are not positioned to exactly match the interior setting. As a result, the top can move about half an inch, necessitating straightening. The top of the chair is very hard. There is no fuzz or sagging at the hood top. Although the height of this stool is the same as my sofa, my sofa compresses when I sit on it, but the stool does not give way when you put your feet/feet on it. As a result, my feet are higher than my hips. I've added '1.5' to 2'cut off footstool legs' to the honey action list (still waiting for this to complete). 3. The stool is difficult to move across a rug (even a short rug) and there's really nothing to grab except from underneath, lift the lid and grab the edge of the base, or bend down and give it a bear give. Embrace and pull where you need it. It is best to put it in one place and leave it there.
