This is a heavy, solid mount. I use it on my HP 27" monitor with a VESA adapter (the monitor has no mounting holes) and use it on my desktop and it's great. Supporting the monitor's weight required a LOT of tension adjustment in the center of the hinge, so keep that in mind. I rotated forever before he started showing progress and then the same amount to keep him stable at any height. But everything is fine now, you just need to be patient to find a good middle ground in the tension. Very happy with it and the monitor is very secure.
