There is nothing wrong with this item aesthetically - in fact, I love the concept of a dust-proof makeup brush organizer (not to mention drawers for other items). daily necessities aside!) While I love the look, BUYERS BEWARE: The chemical smell is SO INCREDIBLY STRONG, it was absolutely gross from the moment I opened the box. I'm not normally sensitive to smells, but the strong chemical smell from this organizer was so strong that the smell literally filled my room. The beads smell even worse (a direct factory smell that will most likely never go away). I've tried washing the organizer with a mild dish detergent but to no avail. Needless to say I will try to let it air dry as warm weather is expected this weekend. If the odor persists (most likely) I will be returning this product as I don't think my facial cotton pads, beauty blender, cotton swabs or makeup brushes get soaked with this extremely strong chemical odor. I will update the rating. Review update: I returned this item after 1 week. Even washing with mild dish soap + air drying didn't help get rid of the smell.
