Review on MICHELIN X-Ice Snow 215/55 R17 98H winter by Erzsbet Sveges ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

Used X-ICE Nord 2 for 8 years, and it performed flawlessly. Even though there were no issues with the tread, I replaced it because of its advanced age. I wanted to purchase X-ICE Nord 4 studs, but the store didn't carry the necessary size, so I was unsure. In the end, I chose X-ICE SNOW without studs. Comparatively speaking, it seems lighter than the Conti Viking Contact 7 (I held both tires in my hands). till I come to regret it. I wonder how it will appear when there is frost in the winter.

Pros
  • Quite quiet. The tire was produced in 2022, is a new model from the company, has a sturdy sidewall, and has class C rolling resistance. It maintains a predictable trajectory well, brakes superbly on both dry and wet asphalt, and essentially does not react to rutting every day on the Hong Kong Ring Road in the portion from Volokolamka to Rublyovka. It also performed well during the November blizzard. In Poland, I am putting on a show.
Cons
  • My size (235/55 R19) is hard to find.
