This is a CHARGE ONLY mini USB cable with a right angle end. This is the cable you need for your Garmin if you are trying to use the GPS by plugging it into a USB source instead of the included cigarette lighter adapter (other cables put the GPS in data mode). For me, a USB cigarette lighter adapter wasn't something I needed, but I was looking for a right-angle USB cable that's just for charging, and this was the only one I could find. The cable appears to be of good quality and should work well. The right angle is good because it points the cable down and away from the GPS instead of straight back. I think they can get rid of the cigarette. A lighter adapter and selling the cable for a few dollars less would be great. I recommend.
